The Story

World Champion Blacksmith and Farrier Austin Edens has teamed up with Scott Anvil to produce a new and innovative anvil.

Features:

A 4 3/8" x 9" horn that has a true taper from the body to the tip. Much attention is given to the horn to make sure that it is ground and finished symmetrically without ridges or flat spots
The corners of the table have been tapered back to keep them out of the way when working on the horn.
The hardie hole is moved up in the face, closer to the body/waist of the anvil. This makes a tremendous difference when using hardy tools because you are working more over center of mass. Great for running Tool & Fuller Blocks.
Two ledges have been added, one on each side of the face. Great for heel caulks, ag heels, clips or anytime you need a good crisp edge to work your material at 90 degree angle.
The underside of the heel is V-shaped. This allows for more clearance when working a branch on the face. You can push the toe bend closer to the anvil without the other branch getting caught on the bottom side of the heel. The V shape allows for more clearance, but also gives strength to the heel of the anvil.
The top choice for blacksmiths and farriers wanting the highest quality shop anvil, a favorite of competition farriers.
All Scott Anvils are poured in a Texas foundry. We use a proprietary blend of ductile iron that has all the properties needed to produce the best quality anvils available today. We then grind, machine, heat treat, hand finish and paint each anvil in our shop in Amarillo, Texas. We take great pride in producing the finest quality anvils right here in the USA!  Designed, tested and used by Austin Edens.

WEIGHT: ~ 200LB
BASE:  10 3/4" X 11 1/2"
FACE: 4 1/2" X 18"
HORN: 9" X 4 1/4"
OVERALL LENGTH: 30"

*DRESS THE EDGES OF THE ANVIL FACE*

We recommend dressing the edges of your anvil with a slight radius to help prevent damage from daily use and missed blows. Sharp edges may crack or chip. Always wear safety glasses when working on an anvil.
