The Story
- Hand held
- Used on horseshoes after heating to pre-punch the nails hole
- Generally does not penetrate completely through the horseshoe, but as the style of forepunch indicates: City, Regular, E-head, it is used to make the "seat" for the nail head
- Then this forepunched hole is lined up on the anvil, over the pritchel hole, and the pritchel knocks out the rest of the punch, making the horseshoe nail hole.
